Alpine Tech Innovation Hub
If you know Werkstätte Wattens, you are well aware that we never stand still. In October we are introducing a new platform called Alpine Tech Innovation Hub to create a network, promote exchange and foster innovation in the field of Alpine technologies. The hub is a joint initiative by Werkstätte Wattens and our partners I.E.C.T. Hermann Hauser and Standortagentur Tirol.
What’s behind Alpine Tech Innovation Hub?
The Alpine Tech Innovation Hub offers flexible work spaces for Startups and Grownups as well as regular events. It addresses five key industries: Alpine Mobility, Alpine Building, Alpine Safety, Alpine Sports & Outdoor Recreation and Alpine Tourism. Most of the hub’s offerings and programmes will revolve around these fields. There will also be a focus on digitalisation and sustainability.
63 businesses from various industries currently have their offices at Werkstätte Wattens. This industry mix fosters an interdisciplinary exchange across different fields. We will continue to actively promote this diversity.
… and focus
By setting a special focus on Alpine technologies, we are bringing more top companies and startups to Tyrol. The Alpine landscape and outdoor flair have generated attractive markets and a significant pool of prospective customers in the Alpine market segments. What’s more, some global Alpine technology leaders have already settled in Tyrol.
The hub will become a fulcrum for everybody working in this field. Both Startups and Grownups will benefit in multiple ways: Young entrepreneurs can join our acceleration and innovation programmes and take advantage of synergies and subsidies. Established companies can gain access to the latest developments and tap into the creativity and knowledge of the innovative startup scene.
Sign up now: 2019 Alpine Tech Innovation Sprint
For the opening of the hub, we will hold an Alpine Tech Innovation Sprint from 17 to 19 October 2019. This will be our second sprint. For three days, tourist experts and startups will jointly be working on challenges from the tourism industry. The goal is to quickly develop initial solutions for existing problems and to experience new ways of innovating. Through experimentation and prototype testing, participants will attain solutions and start to collaborate.
